Kystverket is a national agency for coastal management, maritime safety and emergency preparedness against acute pollution. Kystverket works actively for efficient and safe maritime transport by meeting the transport industry’s need for accessible and efficient ports. Kystverket conducts preventive work and reduces the damaging effects of acute pollution, and contributes to the sustainable development of the coastal zone. Kystverket is under the Norwegian Ministry of Transport and Communications.
