With the introduction of version 28 for the Continia apps, the handling of outgoing electronic documents (such as EHF/Peppol invoices and XML) will be centralized and managed directly within the Continia Document Output app.
This means that the e-invoicing module is moving out of Continia Document Capture. Going forward, Document Output must be activated in order for you to send outgoing e-invoices.
Following this update, the roles of the apps will be streamlined:
- Continia Document Capture will be used exclusively for incoming documents (scanning and approval of vendor invoices).
- Continia Document Output will handle all outgoing documents.
Key benefits of the new solution:
- Everything in one place: Both email (PDF) and electronic formats (XML/Peppol) are managed from the same interface in Document Output.
- Automatic fallback: If you attempt to send an e-invoice to a customer who is not registered in the Peppol network, the system detects this automatically. The invoice is instead sent as a standard email with the XML file attached.
- Easier troubleshooting: You get a centralized and improved overview if a document delivery fails.
