Goods that have both a place of departure and a place of destination in Norway, but must pass through Sweden or Finland on the way, are called Norwegian goods in transit (You can find more information on the Norwegian Customs website: NVIT).
From March 31, 2026, new requirements were introduced for information about goods in transit. All NVIT goods must be declared with the following information (for each item line):
- Quantity Value and currency code (incl. VAT)
- Tariff number (HS no., min. 6 digits)
- Product description
- Gross and net weight
When ordering transport, there are two options:
- You can add the “transit information” on freight to and from the selected postal codes.
- You can add the “transit information” for all your shipments in Norway.
Our Blue Delivery app supports NVIT 🙂
